Overview
Oracle Linux is a 100% Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) compatible Linux OS.
Two types of kernels can be selected at boot time:
1) Red Hat Enterprise Kernel (RHCK), fully RHEL-compatible
2) Unbreakable Enterprise Linux Kernel (UEK) optimally tuned for Oracle products.
Features
01. Operational costs can be reduced by up to 50%!
In general, the cost of Linux maintenance is about 5% of the server cost. Migrating from a Red Hat environment has a cost saving of more than 50%.
02. Strong 24/7 support
By using it together with Oracle products, you can realize a centralized point of contact for support. We will distinguish between Oracle product issues and OS issues.
03. No OS reinstallation required!
It is also possible to provide support as-is without reinstalling Red Hat or CentOS servers on 0racle Linux.
